Biography Takura Chadoka
Born April 1986 in a family of five, two older sisters and two young brothers. Takura grew up in a town called Chitungwiza which is about 20km from Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe.
Growing up as the middle child, Takura was always creative, and at the age of 12yrs he was then awarded for the best drawing at a drawing competition which was held annually at his primary school, and because of that his love for art was very much inspired.
Takura was studying art from his high school as a subject and went further more with art studies in 2003 at The National Gallery of Zimbabwe School of Art where he dropped out before the first year due to financial constraints and hush economical environment in his country at that time.
In 2004 he joined a group of local artist in Zimbabwe for workshops, which then made him to develop his own way of painting and expressing his feeling through art.
In march 2006 he moved to South Africa where he find his own voice and established his own private studio in September 2008 which aims to host different artists working in different medium .
Takura Chadoka is inspired by life itself most of his work is from the experiences that he goes through and he likes experimenting with all different kind of medium.
